100 lap club + new records + team party
1. 100 Lap Club... This Friday, 6/10, we will hold our annual 100 lap club. This is completely optional, so please don't force your swimmer to participate. The pool will be set up from 8-11am for any swimmer to swim 100 lengths of the pool using any stroke and stopping to rest as much as needed, so swimmers may arrive at any time during this window. Each swimmer who comes must bring a responsible person (parent, older sibling, etc) to keep track of the laps swum. We will have popsicles for all participants, and all swimmers who successfully complete the 100 laps will be recognized and receive an award at the end of season celebration. The coaches will talk about this with the swimmers at practice this week, so the swimmers can ask the coaches any questions then. If you are unable to make it this Friday yet want to participate, you can always complete it another day and have a parent email Coach Susan to verify you did it.
2. New records set!... Congrats to Jonah Hendrickson, Harry Jaenke, Ari Sarkar and Elliott Dale who set 2 new records at last week's meet: 15 -18 boys medley relay and free relay. Wahooooooo!
3. End of season party - Mark your calendars for the end of season party on Saturday June 25 (same day as the championship meet) around 6pm. All Wahoo swimmers and their families are invited for dinner and awards at the pool.
Go Wahoos!
Coach Susan
