New information:

  • Heats sheets are attached.  Note that there are TWO of them -- only print morning session if your swimmer is 10 and younger, and only print afternoon session if your swimmer is 11 and older.  Or print both if you've got swimmers in both!
  • Timers meeting for morning session is at 8am in the starting area, and for the afternoon session it is at 12:45pm.  Our timers will be in lanes 7 and 8 with Kedron Hills.  They will have free water bottles for you.  Thank you so much for signing up to help with this!
  • They will have concessions inside the building.  Bathrooms are there too.
  • Parking is available at Kedron, the skating rink, and at Kedron Elementary (so you may have a bit of a walk). DO NOT park in the fire lanes.
  • We will have a few Wilshire tents set up Friday night, so look for our Wahoo banner when you arrive. I will send you more specific information after we set it up tonight. Some families like to drop off the kids and all the stuff with us and then go park rather than walk with all of it, and that works well.  We need all swimmers to sit in the tent area so that we can find them for the bull pen when it is time to swim.  Even if parents choose to set up chairs on the deck (no tents allowed on deck), the swimmers need to sit in the tent area.  Bring blankets to sit on and/or chairs.
  • Swimmers will not be able to use the small pool and will need to stay away from the edges of the large pool when not swimming.
  • Please do not block doorways or entrances - hundreds of people need to go in and out of these areas, so do not set up where people will walk.
  • They will be using the new starting system. Parents can download the TIME DROPS LIVE! app to follow along with the meet in real time. These times are not official. The tentative code will be 0625, but the official code will be on the whiteboard. [Don't ask coaches about this, as we aren't familiar with it and our focus will be on getting swimmers to the right places and swimming the right strokes!]

Team party:

5 - 6pm Open swim if you'd like, lifeguard on duty

6-630pm Dinner served (pizza, salad, watermelon, cookies, water, lemonade)

6:30-7:15pm Program including awards

7:15-8pm Open swim if you'd like, NO lifeguard on duty

Go Wahoos!!!!

Coach Susan
