Information for meet on 6/8

Remember that he have a HOME meet at Wilshire pool Thursday, 6/8, against Kedron Hills Cruisers.  We are excited to see our Wahoos race again!  Read through all this important information:

1) Parking: Parkind is very limited.  Please walk if you can, or golf cart, or carpool, or park at a friend's house close by.  The only parking that will be allowed at the pool or in the spaces on the street by the pool are for golf carts or handicapped parking.  Please park all other cars in the marked spaces at CVS Pharmacy that are between Holly Grove Rd. and the pharmacy.  Do not park in the spaces that are on the entrance side of the pharmacy, as they want those spots free for customers.  If this area fills up, please park in the Publix parking lot.  If you'd like to drive through the pool area and drop off chairs, kids, bags, etc. you may do that.

2) Schedule:

4:45 pm Arrive at Wilshire pool + check in with coaches

5 - 5:10 pm 10 and younger warm ups

5:10 - 5:25 pm 11 and older warm ups

5:25 - 5:50 pm Visiting team warms up

6 pm Meet starts

3) Concessions: Please bring CASH ONLY (small bills appreciated!) for our concession stand.  We'll have pizza, sub sandwiches, and hot dogs, as well as drinks, candy, and ice pops. A huge THANK YOU to Heidi Berggren for spearheading concessions!

4) Logistics: Feel free to bring chairs and blankets to sit on.  We cram everyone onto our deck, so it will be a tight squeeze, but we think it is safest to keep especially our younger swimmers inside the fence due the cars on Holly Grove Rd.  Wahoo familes sit together in 1 section of the pool, and Kedron Hill sits on the other side - I'll explain this at practice tomorrow for those of you that are new to the team.  There is some shade, but also some sun.  We plan to run our meet as quickly as possible, so it is important that your swimmer listen for event numbers and get to the bull pen when called.  Remember NO PARENTS (unless you're volunteering) may be in the bull pen or in the starting and finishing area.  I saw many parents coming to talk to their swimmers last week, and we just don't have the space for that -- wish your swimmers good luck BEFORE they get to the bull pen!  Also, we are going to ask that swimmers don't ask for their times after each race, as to let the timers focus on writing down the times and getting watches ready.  My goal is to be finished before 9 pm.  Also, all 10 and younger swimmers should have their name and age on their left arm.  As always, use the restroom right before you leave home as the meet will be very crowded.  A huge THANK YOU to everyone who signed up to volunteer!!!

Heat sheet will be sent in my next email, but you can see your events already (relays included!) through the app.

Go Wahoos!

Coach Susan
