100 Lap Club + next week + seasonal swim
100 Lap Club: Congratulations to everyone who joined the 100 Lap Club on Friday morning! There were 45 swimmers who made it, and a few who gave a strong effort but didn't get there this year due to exhaustion or having to leave early for another event. We are so proud of you all!!! We will recognize these swimmers at the end of season party. Wahooooo!
Meet/volunter RSVP: This week, our meet is AWAY at the Timberlake pool. Since they are hosting the meet, they'll be sending us directions soon about when warm ups are and all the details about parking, concessions, etc. We will do a golf cart caravan to the meet for anyone who wants to join in - it's always fun! I have opened the jobs and the rsvp for entries. Each swimmer may choose 2 max individual events. Please sign up by 10 am on Tuesday. No sign up = no swim at the meet! Please ignore the 100 IM race listed after the relays - we will NOT be swimming this event at their meet. However, we will do a 100 IM for a time trial during practice for any swimmer who knows how to do all 4 strokes without getting DQ'd and who wants to try. 100 IM (Individual Medley) is where one swimmers races 4 laps in a row in this order: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle (yes, it's a different order than the medley relay!).
PAC swimming: If your child has enjoyed swimming and wants to swim year round and with professional swim coaches, PAC (Peachtree Aquatic Club) is holding sign ups soon and they're located at the Kedron Aquatic Center. I heard it starts Monday, but I didn't see confirmation on their website. I will tell you from experience that they fill up quickly, so please reach out if you're interested. https://www.pacswimming.org/how-do-i-join
Let me know if you have any questions.
Go Wahoos!
