Wahoo families,

Please keep in mind that all the swim meets are run with the help of Wahoo parent volunteers. We count on every Wahoo family to sign up for a minimum of TWO volunteer spots throughout the season. Everyone (except Arthur and me!) has a swimmer in the pool and we design our volunteer work so that no volunteers should have to miss their child's race, but we all have to pitch in to help the meets run smoothly. Home meets need LOTS of Wahoo volunteers to run smoothly, and AWAY meets need MINIMAL Wahoo volunteers. I'll send out more info about volunteer spots when the meets get closer. 

We do have some big spots that need filling, so please let me know if you can do any of these so I can sleep better knowing they are filled:

1. Stroke judge - we need 1 for every meet or we could split shifts between 2 people - This person is basically the referee. Qualities preferred: knows all 4 strokes, is thick skinned and not afraid to disqualify those who are swimming a stroke incorrectly at a meet!

2. Computer person - we have 1 person for sure for our 1st meet, but I would like to get 2 more people to know this job. You basically run the computer system that supports the HOME meets, so it takes full focus during each meet. It would be helpful if we could train you during the June 5 morning time trials. Qualities preferred: proficient on the computer, good at problem solving, performs well under pressure, can focus on the computer for the entire meet!
