What a great 1st meet!

A great big shout out to everyone who volunteered at the meet tonight! We really appreciate you all!!! It truly does take the whole village to help run a meet! If you volunteered for a position and have ideas for how to describe the job better or how to make it more efficient, please let me know.

I have attached the meet results, and you can see your swimmers' results in the app. Overall I think the swimmers did great! I saw lots of best times out there and lots of smiling faces - Wahoo! We have some things to learn from - a few DQ's (coaches will work with swimmers on correcting strokes). Please don't let these get your swimmer down -- we will learn and grow from these mistakes, and they are definitely a part of summer swimming!

Also, the timing system is not perfect. If you notice a time that seems way off what you witnessed, please let me know. I can go through by hand and double check any possible mistakes, but only if you let me know. I want your swimmer to have the most correct results, so I'm happy to do this if you have a question.

Lost and found items are shown in the picture - let me know if any of these things are yours.  I still have a size youth XL Wahoos tshirt that hasn't been claimed too.

We have THREE new Wahoo records from tonight -- CONGRATS to these swimmers:

1. Woodson Bowe broke the 13-14 boys 50 breaststroke record with a time of 35.18 (1.5 seconds faster than Matthew Hargrove in 2014)

2. William Lupo, Woodson Bowe, Micah Hendrickson, and Asher Tinsley set the 13-14 boys medley relay record (1.3 seconds faster than Cade Budds, Woodson Bowe, Asher Tinsley, and Gavin Schneider in 2024)

3. Micah Hendrickson, William Lupo, Andrew Sexton, and Asher Tinsley set the 13-14 boys free relay record (1.5 seconds faster than Peyton Jones, Peter Hendrickson, Harry Jaenke, and Bruce Allen in 2019)
