2nd meet in the books - results attached!

Wahoos,

We had quite the meet tonight!  Our Wahoos raced well overall - lots of good races and supportive teammates out there.  Someone told me this was "the most supportive environment of any sports team they had ever experienced" and I love hearing that!  I was proud of how so many swimmers powered through despite the rain.  We still had some DQ's, and we look forward to 2 more weeks of practice so we can try our best to get strokes corrected before the county meet.  Results are attached.

Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered for the meet tonight.  Top to bottom, you all were amazing despite the challenging weather conditions -- the heat, then the rain, then the chill from being wet in the rain.  It takes a village to run a meet, and Wahoo parents pitched in to make the meet run as smoothly as possible!  A special shout out to Jonathan Lunn who filled in last minute as the lifeguard for the second half of the meet, to all the timers who stood in the rain and adapted when they could no longer write times on their mushy papers, to Matthew Goodwin who helped repair the broken girls toilet before the meet, to Chantel and Jonah Hendrickson who ran the timing system, to my husband Arthur for running a fast meet (half hour faster than the computer program predicted!), to Laura Belanger for always helping keep us safe by monitoring the weather.

We will see you either at 100 Lap Club tomorrow (between 8 - 11 am) or at Lisa's Creperie tomorrow (between 5 - 7 pm) or at practice on Monday.

I'll send more details about next week's meet soon.

Go Wahoos!

Coach Susan
