Meet 2 + heat sheet attached
Remember that he have a HOME meet at Wilshire pool Thursday, June 11, against the Woodcreek Waves. We look forward to seeing our Wahoos race and improve!
The heat sheet is attached. For medley relays, the order is 1-back, 2-breast, 3-fly, 4-free. If you see a major issue on the heat sheet (like your swimmer is entered but can't make it to the meet), please let me know ASAP as it's easier to fix at home than when I'm on deck.
1) Parking: Parking is very limited. Please walk if you can, or golf cart, carpool, or park at a friend's house close by. So that we can best accomodate our Woodcreek golf carting friends, the only parking that will be allowed at the pool or even on the street by the pool are for golf carts or handicapped parking. Please park all other cars in the Publix parking lot. If you'd like to drive through the pool area and drop off chairs, kids, bags, etc. you may do that. We will have a volunteer with helping people cross Holly Grove Rd. - please be careful!
2) Schedule for Thursday's meet:
4:15 pm Arrive at Wilshire pool + check in with coaches -- PLEASE BE ON TIME!
4:30 - 4:40 pm 10 and younger Wahoo warm ups
4:40 - 4:55 pm 11 and older Wahoo warm ups
4:55 - 5:20 pm Woodcreek Waves warms up
5:30 pm Meet starts
3) Concessions: Please bring CASH (small bills appreciated!) for our concession stand, or you may VENMO. We'll have Johnny's Pizza, Publix subs, and hot dogs, as well as drinks, fruit, candy, and ice pops.
4) Logistics: It is important that your swimmer listen for event numbers and get to the bullpen when called. Remember NO PARENTS may be in the bull pen or in the starting and finishing area unless you're volunteering - we had issues with this last week! Wish your swimmer good luck BEFORE they head to the bull pen! Also, all 10 and younger swimmers should have their name and age written in Sharpie on their left shoulder. I also recommend that you have your swimmer's event #'s written on their arm or leg. As always, use the restroom right before you leave home as the meet will be very crowded. Also, please pick up any trash you see during the meet. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who signed up to volunteer!! We couldn't do this without the help of all of you!
5) Caps: Swimmers may wear a Wahoo cap or no cap, but no one should be wearing any cap representing another team. Let me know if you need a Wahoo cap. Thanks!
6) New team record: Congratulations to Ella Hinton who broke her own 13-14 girls 50 yd. butterfly team record at our first meet last week! Her time was 30.81, which was almost a second faster than last year. Go Ella!!
Go Wahoos!
Coach Susan
