Important Whitewater meet information

Info from Woodcreek about meet...

1) Swim Meet Schedule for Thursday, June 18th at Woodcreek pool:

4:45 PM - Wilshire arrive/check in at our bull pen (a tent where all the coaches will be)

5:00 PM - 5:25 PM - Wilshire Warm-Ups - our whole team will warm up at the same time!

5:15 PM - Timer & Stroke Judge Meeting in Club Room / Events #1 - 4 report to bullpen

5:30 PM - Meet Begins

2) Location: Whitewater neighborhood has three entrances off Redwine Road; please use the MIDDLE entrance with the guardhouse to get to the pool (I put "Whitewater Creek pool" into my maps, but you'll need to make sure it brings you to Birkdale Dr. where the guardhouse is as opposed to a different entrance).

3) Parking: Whitewater Creek Country Club parking lot, which is above the pool area on Birkdale Drive is available for parking. Once the pool clubhouse parking lot is full, we ask that everyone park on the same side of the road. We will have one side of the road marked with signs so parents will know where to park, up Birkdale Drive and along the pool road. We will be providing golf cart shuttles to assist with transporting families to the pool before the meet.

4) Seating: Whitewater is leaving our pool furniture out; however, we recommend that people bring chairs, as we know there is not enough furniture in our pool area for everyone. Shade is limited, so you may want to bring a tent or two. These can be set-up outside the pool area. Families are encouraged to set-up on the grass outside the deck after the pool area is filled. Again, all overflow should set-up outside the pool area.

5) Relays: Diving is only allowed in the deep end. The relay swimmers for 10 & Under will start in the water in the shallow end. (like at Wilshire pool)

6) Break: There is a short break halfway through the meet to switch timers (probably after event 36...but it will be announced).

7) Shark Shack: There will be concessions during the meet. We accept CASH and VENMO. We will have pizza, nachos, hot dogs, chips, snacks, drinks, and candy.

Whitewater said they should be able to send the heat sheet over by Wednesday afternoon. You should be able to see individual events and relays in the app.

Also, usually Wahoos do a golf cart caravan to this meet, but I don't think it's a good idea due to the current weather forecast.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Go Wahoos!

Coach Susan
