Things WAHOOS need to know:

- 10 and younger swimmers need to have name and age written on their left shoulder (so that volunteers/coaches can read it).

- All swimmers should have event numbers written on their arm or leg (so that swimmer can read it).

- Bring sunscreen, bug spray, printed heat sheet, water/drinks, snacks, towel/cap/goggles/suit, chairs or blankets to sit on between events. Your swimmer does not have to wear a cap, but if they do wear one it needs to be a Wahoos cap (borrow one if you don't have yours, as I don't have more). You can bring cards or things to do that are ok to get wet. Please leave home any active toys like water guns, balls, frisbees, etc. If you have electronics that makes noise, please use headphones.

- We plan to have 4 large tents set up for all our Wahoos to sit under. A map is attached and we will have tents set up AT A NEW LOCATION THIS YEAR with more space (top W on the map). We really need your swimmers hanging out in the shade and under our tents between events so that we can easily find them. Feel free to set up additional tents for a little extra space in our Wahoo area. NO TENTS are allowed on the pool deck inside the fence. Also, please don't set up in any other team's zone as you will be asked to move (and if they know you're a Wahoo, I'll hear about it!). Please keep the walkway clear too!

- As always, 10 and younger swimmers should come to the bull pen when called. We will have numbers hanging by our Wahoo bull pen for who should be in the bull pen + we have the bull horn to call out. Bull pen will be in our area under the Wahoo tent with the banner on it. Swimmers should come to the bull pen without shoes/parents/food, and they should have goggles with them! Coaches and bull pen workers will get your swimmer to their races and to the correct lanes, and we will have a coach waiting with each individual swimmer. NO PARENTS are allowed in the bull pen area or the starting area unless you're volunteering!

- For 11 and older swimmers, we will have no bull pen or numbers showing the events. I recommend that swimmers head to their lane about 1 event before each race - there are lots of heats for each race. For example, if I'm in event #43, I would go to the starting area when event #42 starts. We will have a coach stationed in the starting area to help with any questions regarding heat/lane/order/technique/etc. ONLY BE IN THE STARTING AREA IF YOU'RE ABOUT TO RACE because it is crowded enough without your friends or parents standing around you!

-We are counting on your swimmer to be at the meet if you signed them up. If an emergency happens and you cannot make it to the meet, please TEXT Coach Susan ASAP at 770-265-2925 (even if it's during the night on Friday). The earlier I know, the less stressful it is to make any changes on relays.

-Thank you to everyone who signed up to volunteer! We still need one more morning timer, so sign up if you can. Rachel Tuck created a sign-up genius for food and things for Saturday if you would like to participate (this doesn't count towards Wahoo volunteering) - ask her if you have any questions about this: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0F44A4AA2CA6F94-64593171-wahoo

Things KEDRON wants you to know:

Parking is available for cars at Kedron, the skating rink, and at Kedron Elementary. DO NOT park cars in the fire lanes or on the grass - they will tow! Golf carts should park on the grass or 2 carts to a spot. They have asked us to not arrive before 6:30 am.

Feel free to drive through and quickly drop off all your gear and swimmers, as it can be a long walk from parking to where we sit. Wahoos will have coaches waiting to assist you with a quick drop off if needed, and we will watch your swimmers while you park. The drop off area is marked on the map.

Swimmers will not be able to use the small pool and will need to stay away from the edges of the large pool when not swimming.

Please keep all doorways, walkways, and entrances clear - no stopping/standing/sitting there for obvious reasons.

Families may not set up inside the building (where it's air conditioned!). Swimmers and families should only come in the building to use the restrooms. Swimmers should only use the restrooms closest to the pool since the rest of the facility is in use.

Kedron has asked us to keep the deck as free as possible of chairs. Coaches, grandparents, and folks that absolutely need them can set up chairs, but for the most part they would like people to move off and on the deck to watch the races. (in my opinion, sitting on the deck without shade is h-o-t anyways!)

Only coaches, swimmers in upcoming events, and volunteers are allowed in the starting/finishing area. There is a doorway between our sitting area and the starting area (I didn't mark it on the map), but Wahoo parents may NOT come through that door unless volunteering. Wahoo parents will need to walk between the letter P's on the map to get to an entrance so they can watch their swimmer race.

There will be concessions, but I don't know what they're serving. Bring cash!

Parents can download the TIME DROPS LIVE! on the app to follow along with the meet in real time. These times are not official. The pin will be posted the day of the meet. I have heard that it's beneficial to pay for the app as they have useful features during this meet like when your swimmer is about to race, but I don't know anything more than that.

Please do not talk to the stroke judges about any DQ's - let them focus on the meet!  It is hard enough to get stroke judge VOLUNTEERS without parents giving them a hard time.

Please ask if you have any questions.  I will be at a family wedding Wed through Fri, so my email response may be delayed.  I'm sure there will be last minute info too, but this is the bulk of things. :-)

Goooooooooooo Wahoos!!!!

Coach Susan
